This session, organized by the Korean Association for Policy Studies and the Korea Saemaul Undong Center, will discuss a transition to the era of local democracy, increased citizen participation and the revitalization of democracy at the local level. During the session two case studies will be presented: Saemaul Undong in Nepal and the public hearing process adopted in Korea.
