Union and cooperation between local and regional governments is crucial to multiply the impact and scale up action for pressing local and global challenges. In this session, Local Government Associations (LGAs) will engage in knowledge transfer and exchange around capacity-building for their organizations, regarding member services, policy and advocacy, financial sustainability and networking. National LGAs have the potential to play a pivotal role in achieving the SDGs as they adapt to crises and the transformed relations with partners and other governments.
