Future smart cities will be characterized by their use of ICT technologies that help provide a better quality of public services and enhance the welfare of their citizens. Based on Daejeon’s experiences, this session will examine practical approaches that enable local leaders to design and implement their own strategies for a smart city. Thomas Frey, a well-known futurist, will discuss the topic of “Creating a City for the Next Generation”. Architect Ando Tadao will share his vision for ‘A future of architecture where citizens are happy’.
