Violence against women is commonly addressed at national and civil society levels. This session highlights LRGs’ role as key actors in designing and implementing innovative public policies to raise awareness, but also to ensure women victims’ protection, full recovery and empowerment. Connecting the initiatives and scaling up the efforts of LRGs at the international level is essential to advance in this fight worldwide, and to build “caring territories” protecting women victims of violence.
