Local and regional governments play a critical role in guaranteeing the right to food for all and in ensuring resilient, sustainable and equitable food systems. They must be empowered to achieve just food systems transformations. This session aims to discuss how joint strategies can be developed and strengthened, considering key milestones in 2023. A dialogue on the next steps will help formulate recommendations to ensure that local and regional governments are front and center in the follow up of the commitments stemming from the UN Food Systems Summit.
