Partners of Connective Cities (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Association of German Cities (DST) and Engagement Global gGmbH/ Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW)) in collaboration with the Global Initiative on Disaster Risk Management, GIZ

Organization, management and coordination with a wide variety of actors are of great importance for ensuring sustainable and efficient municipal flood management, especially with the background of frequently occurring extreme weather events. The session’s objective is to give the participants an insight into good practice examples in the field of flood prevention, protection, and management and to create a common learning and exchange process. Furthermore, it will display the method of Connective Cities including the mutual learning, peer-to-peer exchange and consultation and the development of common project ideas.
